On the whole, the entire team of Antariksham has put in a lot of hard work and that is very much evident on the big screen. It does not have any commercial elements but because of the sheer imagination of the director, this film will go down as a good attempt in Tollywood. However, the overall execution is not that engaging and this makes the film a partly engaging watch this weekend.

Anthariksham is a film which has space travel which is affected by personal intentions and aspirations of the astronauts. This concept itself is a new one to the Telugu films and it is a rare movie in Indian cinema which doesn’t have enough space dramas. Director Sankalp, who entertained and gave a unique thriller in the name of Ghazi has failed to live up to that curiosity of audience to see a new kind of cinema with Anthariksham. The whole first half goes into setting up the characters and their backstories to make the smooth flow of the second half. The second half starts on a good note and goes into the logicless mode. Surely, it is not what an audience expects. This half is stretched a lot by creating some conflicts to make the audience invested throughout but it’s not the case with the audience. The scenes between Aditi Rao and her grandmother are written over dramatically. To sum up, Anthariksham is definitely a new film to experience on screen but it has its flaws to outshine that new kind of experience.

A Boring Science Class

Despite the Varun Tej starrer space thriller did not gripped throughout but definitely gives an unique experience to the audience.Sankalp Reddy should be applauded for taking this concept and executed decently well.

'Antariksham' is first ever space thriller in Telugu cinema. Director Sankalp Reddy has given his best to tell it in convincing manner. The film needs appreciation for its attempt. Flaws and drawback can be overlooked as it is a first attempt in this genre in Tollywood

సంకల్ప్ రెడ్డి చేసిన ఈ ప్రయోగాన్ని అభినందించకుండా ఉండలేం. కానీ, ప్రయోగాలతో పాటు ప్రేక్షకుడికి నచ్చే కొన్ని అంశాలను కూడా సినిమాలో చొప్పించి ఉంటే బాగుండేది. ఎందుకంటే, దర్శకుడు చేసే ప్రయోగం ప్రేక్షకుడిని థియేటర్‌కు రప్పించగలగాలి కదా! మరి ఈ ‘అంతరిక్షం’ ప్రేక్షకులను ఏమేర థియేటర్‌కు తీసుకువస్తుందో చూడాలి.

ముఖ్యంగా ఆయన రాసిన కథ, అంతరిక్షంలోని సాగే సన్నివేశాలు అలాగే విఎఫ్ఎక్స్ వర్క్ ఆకట్టుకునే అంశాలు కాగా… నెమ్మదిగా సాగిన కథనం, లాజిక్ లేని కొన్ని కీలక సన్నివేశాలు, స్పెస్ నేపథ్యంలో సాగే సన్నివేశాల్లో సీరియస్ నెస్ కొంత లోపించడం వంటి అంశాలు బలహీనతలుగా నిలుస్తాయి. ఓవరాల్ గా భిన్నమైన, కొత్త తరహా చిత్రాలని ఇష్టపడేవారికి ఈ సినిమా నచ్చుతుంది. అయితే ఈ చిత్రం సామాన్య ప్రేక్షకులను ఎంతవరకు మెప్పిస్తోందో చూడాలి.

The director has taken his own time in starting the story in the first half. The ambition of Dev, His Love Story, and the problem that arises forms the first half which is not so good. The movie enters the space in the second half. The novel factor of the genre and some thrills here and there impresses the audience. Some of the scientific terms used will confuse the audience. The ad-hoc space mission defies all logic and the audience start detaching with the film from there. Zero Gravity sequences should have been handled better. Finally, Antariksham has its good moments but it may not appeal to the people who watched Hollywood films like Interstellar and Gravity.

ఘాజీ సినిమాతోనే త‌న ఆలోచ‌న‌ల్లోని వైవిధ్యాన్ని ప్రపంచానికి చూపించాడు దర్శకుడు సంక‌ల్ప్ రెడ్డి. ఘాజీ నీటిలో యుద్ధ‌మైతే.. అంతరిక్షం.. అంత‌రిక్షంలో యుద్ధం లాంటిది. సంకల్ప్ రెడ్డి ఇప్పటి వరకు తెలుగు తెరపై చూడని కొత్త విజువల్స్‌ ను ప్రేక్షకులకు చూపించాడు. అంతరిక్షంలో శాటిలైట్స్ గమనం ఎలా ఉంటుంది, వ్యోమగాములు అంతరిక్షంలోకి వెళ్తే వాళ్ల కదలికలు ఎలా ఉంటాయి అనే విషయాలు కళ్లకు కట్టినట్లు చూపించారు. విజువల్‌గా సినిమా బాగానే ఉన్నా ప్రేక్షకుడిని అంతరిక్షం మూడ్‌లోకి తీసుకెళ్లడంలో దర్శకుడు సఫలం కాలేదనే చెప్పాలి. ఇక సినిమాలో ఫస్టాఫ్ లో కొన్ని బోర్ కొట్టించే సన్నివేశాల నుంచి పర్వాలేదనిపించే స్థాయిలో ఉండి సెకండాఫ్ లో ఏం జరగబోతుంది అనే విధంగా ఇంటర్వెల్ వరకు బాగానే తీసుకెళ్తుంది. ఫస్ట్ హాఫ్.. లావ‌ణ్య‌తో ప్రేమ‌క‌థ‌, శాలిలైట్‌కి వ‌చ్చిన ముప్పు… వీటి చుట్టూనే సాగింది. సెకండ్ హాఫ్ లో అంతరిక్ష‌యానం మొద‌లైంది. సెకండాఫ్ కూడా ప్రారంభమే కాస్త ఆసక్తిగా ఫస్టాఫ్ లో చూపిన విధంగా అంతరిక్షంలో మొదలవుతుంది. అంతరిక్ష యానం చేసిన వరుణ్ టీమ్ లో వారిలో వారికే కొన్ని ఊహించని ఘటనలు చోటు చేసుకోవడం వలన కథ ఇంకాస్త ఆసక్తికరంగా మారుతుంది. అయితే క్లైమాక్స్‌ ను దర్శకుడు అంత బాగా డిజైన్ చేయకపోవడం ఈ సినిమాకి మైనస్. అలాగే ప్రేక్ష‌కుడు ఊపిరి బిగ‌బెట్టుకుని చూసేలా స‌న్నివేశాల్ని సృష్టించ‌డంలో ర‌చ‌యిత‌గా దర్శకుడు సంక‌ల్ప్‌ రెడ్డి విఫ‌లయ్యాడు అనే చెప్పాలి. అలాగే ఈ అంతరిక్షం సినిమా మల్టిప్లెక్స్ ఆడియన్స్ కే కానీ.. బీ, సీ సెంటర్స్ ని పెద్దగా ఆకట్టుకోలేదు.
