Outdated Alludu!

On the whole, Sailaja Reddy Alludu is a strictly average family drama which has decent moments here and there. Lack of good entertainment and necessary emotions are basic drawbacks which take down the proceedings a bit. The film becomes watchable because of the promising star cast and Chay proves his worth as a complete actor with his performance. There is nothing new that you will see but as it is the festive season, you can give this film a shot for time pass sake and watch it with low expectations

Director Maruthi is known for his special concepts and especially comedy is his USP. The director comes up with some impressive elements. He always comes up with entertaining subjects. In the same manner, for Sailaja Reddy Alludu, the actor has selected ego as the main theme and laced a story around it. But, unfortunately, the director failed to create the fun around the ego concept. Ramya Krishnan’s role is much hyped but it did not come out well. The writing of the film is weak and it could have been much better. The title of the film is catchy but the makers could not live up to the expectations. The rivalry between Shailaja & her son-in-law was not established well. The fun elements are fine and all the others have gone for a toss. On the whole, the film is not worth the hype but a time pass entertainer.

Sailaja Reddy Alludu is a below average film with commercial template story. Director Maruthi has failed in his strength element “Comedy “and narration is flat. Overall, with an average first half and below par second half, it’s not up to the mark. The catchy title, Chaitu -Anu following , Ramya Krishna’s craze and lack of competition in festive season etc. factors may work to some extent in favor of this film at Indian Box-office.

Overall Shailaja Reddy Alludu is a complete family entertainer movie. Plus points are the performance of Naga Chaitanya and Ramya Krishna, Vennela Kishore comic timing and Maruthi’s dialogues. On the flipside, story is routine and screenplay is predictable. First half of the film is alright and second half conflict point is not engaging enough. On a whole, Shailaja Reddy Alludu provides entertainment despite being routine.

As a whole, Shailaja Reddu Alludu was a yawn-fest, if you can manage to snooze the fights and loud dialogues from time to time. Ramya Krishna brought some dignity to the script with her presence but her character had a myopic, suffocating scope barely capable of coming out of the contradictions that creep in because of bad writing. A better idea than watching this movie would be to go back to one of yesteryear’s hits starring Ramya Krishna and Nagarjuna. The chauvinism, which still exists in deceptive forms after all these decades, will at least seem less pretentious.

ఓవరాల్ గా…. పేరుకు తగ్గట్టే… పవర్ ఫుల్ స్టోరీని, ఎంటర్ టైన్ మెంట్ వేలో చెప్పాడు మారుతి. ఈగో లు అందరికీ ఉంటాయి. ఎవరికి ఏ స్థాయిలో ఉంటే మంచిదనే విషయాన్ని కామెడీగా ఎమోషనల్ గా చెప్పాడు. సో ఫ్యామిలీ ఆడియెన్స్ చక్కగా ఎంజాయ్ చేయదగ్గ సినిమా. సో… వినాయకచవితి సందర్భంగా రిలీజైన ఈ సినిమాతో ఎంజాయ్ చేయ్యెచ్చు. సో గో అండ్ ఎంజాయ్… యువర్ ఈగో…
