The story of 2.0 revolves around mobiles and its networks which is killing birds which in turn has become a threat to humanity. Writer and Director Shankar have to be applauded for making such a relevant story into a movie with the Superstar. He succeeded in conceiving an interesting plot but failed in engaging the audience with the screenplay. The first half of the movie takes to set the plot up and second half bores for a lot of time. When everyone thinks that the movie is finished, the story begins again and this time it gives us ticket worthy entertainment. The VFX of Chitti character seems like an animated character in the long shots of introduction scenes. To sum up, a need of the hour story made with two superstars of Indian cinema by a visionary director is what brings people to theatres and they give us a film to watch happily this weekend.

'2.0' comes with a weak script. Vintage Shankar is on a holiday. Made to a template, the alleged thriller is also predictable. You will say the first half is better than the second or vice-versa but you will not find both of them equally good.

‘2.0’ talks about relevant topic of shrinking of sparrows and the consequences of radiation of cell towers. The topic is neatly presented in commercial format with enough entertaining moments. The film works to the most part despite middling later portions.

సెల్‌ఫోన్ ప్రతి ఒక్కరికి నేడు నిత్యవసర వస్తువు అయిపోయింది. టెలీకాం కంపెనీలు వ్యాపారం కోసం లెక్కలేనన్ని సెల్ టవర్లను ఏర్పాటుచేశాయి. వీటి ద్వారా వచ్చే రేడియేషన్ ద్వారా పక్షులు అంతమవుతున్నాయని, ఇది మనిషి అంతానికి నాంది అనే విషయాన్ని ఈ సినిమా ద్వారా శంకర్ చెప్పాలనుకున్నారు. అయితే ఆ మెసేజ్‌ను బలంగా చెప్పలేకపోయారు. కేవలం విజువల్ ఎఫెక్ట్స్ మాత్రమే దృష్టిపెట్టారు. మొత్తంగా ఈ సినిమా ఒక విజువల్ వా....వ్..!

Visual Extravaganza

On the whole, 2.0 is a visual extravaganza which makes you go wow in every which way. Be it the international level VFX, the action thrills between Rajini and Akshay, lavish sets and amazing action, this films is one hell of an experience for the viewers. The film has a very universal theme and will be like all over the country and break several records in the south. Barring the same old good vs evil concept and Akshay Kumar’s flashback, 2.0 is one film which should only be experienced on the big screen as scientific thrillers like these are very rarely made. What are you waiting for just book your tickets and watch the film with your family and have a whale of a time?

Let me put it this way. 2.0, on the whole, is much similar to its trailer. You can easily guess a basic plot. The visual effects will impress you only occasionally. And the 2.0 version has that commercial vibe to give the film some sort of energy. Because of the lately introduced 2.0 character, a dull generic script ends up as a watchable one.

The first half of 2.0 movie is good but the second half is outstanding. The climax fight sequence and Akshay Kumar’s emotional flashback story are highlighted. Chitti Version 2.0 is a treat to watch. Outstanding visuals, Rajinikanth style, Akshay Kumar’s screen presence and charisma are Mind-blowing. The director Shankar tops the use of technology with commercial and social elements. On the flip side the overall plot is very similar to the first part. 2.0 movie is predictable in every way, only addition is Akshay Kumar’s character. Shankar concentrated more on visual grandeur than emotions.

We recommend that you see 2.O for writer-director Shankar’s visualization, Rajinikanth’s screen presence and an earnest Akshay Kumar. It is exhausting, but this roller-coaster ride should be experienced.
